about

The 1960s were the golden age for girl groups, and labels like Red Bird and Blue Cat were the home to iconic groups like The Jelly Beans, The Ad Libs, The Goodies, and more. Originally owned by Brill Building songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, the labels were purchased by Shelby Singleton of Sun Records. So Easy to Love: Golden Girl Groups showcases the girl group era, including cuts by legendary songwriter Ellie Greenwich and an alternate take of The Ad Libs' hit "The Boy from New York City."
